Aman at Sea: Introducing Aman’s new yacht venture
For decades, Aman has built a reputation for creating some of the world’s most peaceful and beautifully designed hotels. From remote desert retreats to hidden island resorts, each property is defined by space, serenity and an almost meditative sense of calm.
Now the brand is preparing to bring that philosophy to the ocean.
Aman at Sea is Aman’s upcoming yacht venture, designed to offer the same understated luxury the brand is known for – but in a setting that moves with the horizon. Scheduled to launch later this decade, the project represents an exciting new way for travellers to experience Aman: not in a single destination, but across an ever-changing landscape of coastlines and islands.

A Floating Aman Retreat
The first vessel in the Aman at Sea collection will be Amangati, a purpose-built ocean yacht designed to feel more like an Aman resort than a traditional cruise ship.
With accommodation for fewer than 100 guests, the emphasis will be on space, privacy and attentive service. Suites will be large by maritime standards, each featuring expansive windows and private outdoor areas that allow guests to remain connected to the sea throughout the journey.
The yacht’s design draws heavily on Aman’s signature aesthetic – clean lines, natural materials and calm, uncluttered spaces. The intention is not to replicate the grand spectacle of large cruise ships, but to create an atmosphere that feels refined, intimate and quietly luxurious.
Life On Board
Just as with Aman’s land-based resorts, the experience on board will focus on wellness, exceptional dining and thoughtful service.
Guests can expect multiple dining venues, elegant lounges and generous outdoor decks designed for relaxing between destinations. Wellness will also play a central role, with a spa and holistic experiences inspired by Aman’s renowned resort programmes.
The yacht will also feature a marina platform for swimming and watersports, allowing guests to step directly from the vessel into the surrounding sea – a detail that reinforces the feeling of travelling aboard a private yacht rather than a traditional cruise liner.

Mediterranean Voyages
The yacht’s first voyages are expected to explore the Mediterranean, a region well suited to slow, scenic travel by sea.
Rather than focusing solely on the most obvious ports, the itineraries will aim to balance famous destinations with quieter coastal towns and lesser-known anchorages. The result should feel closer to a private yachting journey, where the emphasis is on discovery and atmosphere rather than rushing between major ports.
From sunlit Italian harbours to the island-scattered waters of Greece and Croatia, the Mediterranean offers an ideal setting for Aman’s first journeys at sea.
A Growing Trend in Luxury Travel
Aman’s move into yachting reflects a broader shift in the luxury travel world. Increasingly, travellers are looking for experiences that combine exploration with intimacy – journeys where the atmosphere feels more boutique hotel than cruise ship.
Smaller vessels with fewer guests allow for more flexible itineraries, greater privacy and a deeper connection with the places visited along the way.
For a brand like Aman, known for its calm environments and exceptional service, the transition from land to sea feels like a natural evolution.
