As the founder of More Travel Stamford, Helen brings over 30 years of experience in the travel industry, having worked in a wide range of roles across both commercial and client-facing areas. Her extensive knowledge of the industry has shaped the business into an independent, locally based company that combines creativity, expertise and a genuine passion for crafting unforgettable travel experiences.
A mother and grandmother, Helen’s love of travel is inspired by experiences and connection. Whether it’s sharing fresh catch-of-the-day mezze with family on a sun-drenched Greek island, wandering through the colourful countryside of rural India, uncovering ancient civilisations across Asia, or taking in the breathtaking majesty of the Mara, these adventures fuel her creativity and inform every itinerary she creates. Helen believes the best journeys are personal, memorable and full of life – and she works tirelessly to ensure each one reflects her clients’ individual desires and dreams.
Helen’s commercial experience gives her the ability to navigate the travel world with confidence and finesse, opening doors to experiences that aren’t always accessible and ensuring every journey is seamless from start to finish. After years working across the travel industry in multiple sectors around the world, Helen co-founded More Travel with a clear vision: a boutique agency that combines attentive, service-led planning with genuinely inspiring travel experiences, all delivered with a full-service approach to holidays and adventures.
Helen’s love of travel is wide-ranging, with each new destination quickly becoming a personal obsession. From the vibrant streets of Miami and a road trip down to Key West, to the spice-laden landscapes of Southern India, the sun-soaked coast of Kalkan in Turkey, or exploring six hotels in six days on Mallorca, her experiences span the globe.
A consistent thread runs through every journey: a passion for travelling in style. Whether it’s a charming locally owned boutique hotel or one of the world’s most iconic luxury brands, Helen values thoughtful design, exceptional food, intuitive comfort, and service that makes every trip feel considered.
Helen is also drawn to the sensory joys of travel: the warm rush of heat stepping off a plane in a tropical country, the smell of fresh coriander, or a relaxing Badedas bubble bath after a day of exploration. Less enjoyable are the occasional unpleasant reminders of wildlife safaris, dark chocolate, and unmade beds – all part of the adventure.
